The Guide unit has been running under it’s present title since June 1991.
We are a lively and active group of 10 to 16 year old girls who meet on a Wednesday evening in the Village Hall.
We meet from 7.15 p.m. until 8.45 p.m.
Subscription costs just £25 per term and uniform is expected.
Guiding follows a programme based on 6 themes:-
These skills encourage guides to try new things, share experiences and challenge themselves.
We aim to spend time out of doors, camping, hiking and cooking, make crafts and gifts, give service to others, play games and explore new ideas all whilst having fun.
A waiting list exists; therefore the sooner a girl’s name is on it, the sooner it appears at the top.
Any information or further details can be obtained from Janet Ashwell (Guide Leader) 01327-705893.
Newnham is a small village located in the county of Northamptonshire, just south of Daventry, situated on the banks of the River Nene and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village name is thought to derive from Anglo Saxon meaning, however it could also mean 'At the new homestead/village' or 'at the new hemmed-in land'.
